Taste of yarn (and all other goodies) in Boston...
I was very pleased to be invited to Boston's Tast of Yarn this weekend. Had a great time & met so many new cool people who also happen to knit & chat (and drink). The event was held at BEAUTIFUL Mrs. Bookish 's own home (I fifth the motion that she was a fantastic hostess). (Please see these links for more details...) Although I'm not an 'agressive' knitter (or blogger for that matter), it was such an honor to be a part of the group - and swore to my self I'll do a better job at that for the remainder of the year (hopefully after I settle into my house...).
Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Birthday-Eve!
Today is Tim Sheehan's 32nd birthday eve. Thanks to our dearest friend Elisa and Mike gave him two tickets to Celtics vs. Net's game at Fleet Center as his b-day gift since Tim is a HUGE Nets fan. Lucky me, I get to go see the game with him, along with lots of beer and hot dogs! :-) Happy Birthday Eve & elephant shoes...

I'm back from hibernation....Slowly...
I'm Baaaaaacccck!
Well, at least I will promise to do a better job updating my blog, as well as reading others.
As some of you know, since the last posting (which was my very first) in November 2004, I haven't done a thing - not a thing - to this blog... Of course, I have lots of excuses like "I was buried under a huge snow pile" or "I had Turkey-food-coma after Thanksgiving holiday" or "I was super-busy knitting for Christmas gifts" (I think this is a descent excuse), etc., etc., etc...
I hope I'll update my blog more often than my visit to gym... ;-)

Birth of Spookie-ism Blog
Tada!!
This is my first blog ever...although I'm excited but not quite sure where to start... This is a big start for me, considering the fact that I didn't even know what the 'blog' was until my friend Elisa started post some event photos on her blog. She also introduced me to SnB - which brought me back to knitting (I haven't knit since...junior highschool) - and making new friendship. This is cool...
"What is Spookie-ism"?
Well, since English isn't my first language (although I don't do that well on the other one either), I often use some strange phrase/grammer/words that it is incorrect but you know exactly what I mean by it. My close friends refer this as "Keiko-ism" (since my real name is Keiko). The 'famous' ones so far are: "Speak of evil" (instead of saying "Speak of devil); "Shoot the bunch of birds at once" ("Shoot two birds with one stone"), etc.
So, where the Spookie comes from - well, I'll tell ya on my next blog...
Anyhoo, as I start my blog, I thought using the concept of Keiko-ism to share my thoughts and events are appropriate - so here I am... birth of Spookie-ism blog.
